Optimize Clinical Workflow as a Medical Transcriptionist

We are seeking meticulous and tech-capable medical transcriptionists to support our eye care specialists during patient consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend virtual or in-person patient consultations to transcribe interactions with ophthalmologists and optometrists while documenting encounters in real-time.
  • Input notes into electronic health records systems using Windows-based software while adhering to HIPAA compliance guidelines.
  • Manage large volumes of medical files securely on personal PCs, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
  • Flag inconsistencies in visual exam documentation and diagnostic data for clarification and accuracy purposes.
  • Develop and maintain templates for eye exams, surgical consultations, and follow-ups.
  • Assist providers by streamlining administrative duties and documentation processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ophthalmologic terminology, including refraction, tonometry, fundus exams, and more.
  • Excellent typing speed and attention to clinical detail, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Prior experience in scribe or medical transcription roles is highly valued, but not required.
  • Ability to work discreetly and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
