Job Description

The Senior Network Engineer will play a key role in providing operational support for the global network environment. This includes proactive and reactive support for all network hardware, software, and communication links.

The position reports to the Senior Manager of Engineering and Implementations. Responsibilities include onboarding new clients, designing and implementing new offices, or integrating network technologies through coordination with demand or project managers and utilizing network management systems for documentation and implementation requests.

Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for responding to ticket requests and incident notifications, resolving issues within service level agreements, and completing preventative maintenance activities such as code updates and equipment updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking technologies, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, network security, and IP routing protocols.
  • Practical experience with Cisco Networking Technologies, including routing and switching, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and wireless technologies.
  • ITIL certification is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
  • High-level technology problem-solving skills.

The Senior Network Engineer's job function involves participating in the development and maintenance of operational documentation, including updating engineering documentation changes due to operational changes, escalation procedures, and vendor contracts.

Other duties assigned by management may include providing root cause analysis for network events, security and audit compliance, and adherence to operational standards and established operational processes.
