Financial Specialist Job Description

This Financial Specialist role involves providing financial support to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.

  • Handle finance queries in Freshdesk system.
  • Process daily receipts, reconcile bank accounts monthly, and manage bank account administration.
  • Invest in term deposits and communicate maturity dates.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and generate reports.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and maintenance on a monthly basis.
  • Carry out year-end financial checks and record accrual journals.
  • Prepare and submit annual budget proposals.
  • Issue contribution levies to property owners.
  • Liaise with external auditors to address audit queries and organize audits.
  • Onboard and offboard new/lost business.
  • Prepare and review quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Prepare and review annual tax returns.
  • Update Management Agreements, including system updates and fee corrections.
  • Analyze bot exception reports and complete tasks manually when necessary.
  • Manage Body Corporate loans and provide explanations or relevant information to stakeholders as needed.
  • Attend virtual meetings with clients if required.
  • Charge miscellaneous fees to property owners for services such as gas, water, electricity, car park, etc.
  • Process payroll and superannuation for building managers employed by the Owners Corporation.
  • Investigate dishonoured payments and recall bank deposits as needed.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in accounting or a related field.
  • At least four years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience in budget preparation.
  • A strong understanding of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Proven skills in account reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Income Tax and BAS would be advantageous.
