The Utility Billing Specialist will play a critical role in our team by investigating, resolving, or escalating metered utility usage issues and service tickets via SalesForce in priority order.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate metered utility usage issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Perform monthly meter data file uploads into RBMS billing engine (manual process) touching 936 active submetered sites being billed each month.
- Troubleshoot customer's meter system hardware and communicate required action items and expectations clearly.
- Troubleshoot meter system software and internal file transfer processes to resolve usage exceptions and ensure read file accuracy.
- Proactively work with leadership to stay ahead of potential API and missing reads issues based on prebill/billing deadlines.
- Communicate any issues preventing timely reads from being ready for billing.
- Manage general inbox to address client questions timely.
- Work with the Customer Service Department to remedy resident concerns surrounding excessive usage concerns including generating daily consumption graphs and calculating credits as needed.
- Act as the point person for the internal billing teams to address questions during the prebill review process.
