Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by designing, developing, and executing manual and automation test cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for both automated and manual testing.
  • Develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
  • Contribute to implementing repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
  • Plan labour needs of each sprint and product releases.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive product quality.
  • Ensure all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
  • Communicate test reports for stakeholders such as principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, and release management.
  • Liaise with business users, business analysts, and engineers to resolve assigned defects.
  • Maintain awareness of external environments and trends in testing to contribute to process improvement.
  • Promote productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Coach and train other team members on manual and automated testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of software testing experience.
  • At least 3 years of automation testing experience.
  • Experience in manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
  • Experience working with external parties and vendors.
  • Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth.
  • Experience working with Selenium, Java, Maven, and Postman.
  • Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP webservices and API testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and windows applications.
  • Ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads.
  • Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
