Cloud Specialist Job Overview

The Cloud Specialist role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud environments to support applications and services.

About the Role

This position drives cloud strategy and ensures efficient operation of cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cloud technologies and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud architectures using AWS services such as ECS, CloudFront, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch, IAM, and more.
  • Develop automated pipelines for efficient software delivery.
  • Manage Docker and Kubernetes to enhance scalability and flexibility.
  • Implement Application Performance Monitoring solutions and use CloudWatch, CloudWatch Events/Alarms, syslogs, and other analytics tools.
  • Automate tasks using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to streamline deployment of containers and EC2 instances.
  • Support developers with release issues, build automated release frameworks, and integrate test automation into CI/CD processes.
  • Apply security best practices to protect infrastructure.
  • Perform troubleshooting, server resource management, and database knowledge; experience with Linux and Windows servers.
RequirementsHard Skills
  • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and container management tools.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and compliance.
  • Proficiency with observability tools and APM solutions.
  • Experience with IaC and automation tools.
  • IT operations skills including troubleshooting, server management, database management, and network troubleshooting.
  • System administration skills: Apache/Nginx configuration, OS updates, and patching.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Node.js).
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Curious and eager to learn; proactive and collaborative.
  • Ability to work well in a remote environment and drive results.
