Project Cost Analyst

The key responsibility of this role is to prepare and compute accurate project financials, safeguard project budget resources, maintain integrity of project transaction records, and communicate significant financial reports timely to management.

  • Prepare detailed budgets for projects
  • Evaluate costs and verify statements
  • Monitor budget releases at inventory unit level, ensuring no duplicate or multiple releases occur
  • Set up approved project budget re-allocations and supplemental budgets in the system
  • Report actual project costs versus budget per project
  • Generate profit center financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) per project
  • Analyze variances per General Ledger account – all GL accounts related to project cost and project budget
  • Closely coordinate with Project Managers to ensure project timelines are met
Requirements

A successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting and have at least 3 years of solid experience as a Cost Accountant from a real estate/construction company. Advanced knowledge in accounting software is highly beneficial.
