Job Title: Financial Compliance Specialist

About the Role

This role involves handling financial compliance and tax obligations for a consolidated group and joint ventures. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and lodging GST/BAS, payroll tax, and other Australian tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lodge monthly Goods & Services Tax (GST) Business Activity Statements (BAS) / GST Returns using automated GST reports and ITX Edge tax software.
  • Prepare and lodge monthly Payroll Tax Returns and annual Payroll Tax reconciliation.
  • Prepare and lodge monthly Pay As You Go Tax Instalment calculations.
  • Reconcile monthly tax accounts, including Income Tax Payable, WHT payable, PRT payable.
  • Prepare annual Australian Tax Returns for the consolidated income tax group and joint ventures using CCH Integrator tax software.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tax professional experience of at least 5 years.
  • A degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Tax.
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Office Suite.
