Job Overview

Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for overall stock availability based on demand requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of accurate order plans and provision of sales trend analysis to management, sales, and marketing departments.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Leadership and Team Management
  • Supervise and mentor a team of demand planners, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate tasks and projects effectively, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the team's demand planning skills and knowledge.
Forecasting and Demand Planning
  • Create and own the baseline forecast on a per brand and SKU level.
  • Update forecasts to incorporate new product introductions, product conversions, seasonal products, discounts & promotions into the plan.
  • Conduct historical sales analysis at a channel level and perform data cleansing to build statistical baseline forecast.
  • Monitor and report important changes in demand forecasts, order plans, budgets, and business strategies or tactics.
Inventory Management
  • Analyze and monitor stock inventory levels, stock ageing, wastage, inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Evaluate attainability of required inventory stock levels by coordinating with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics.
  • Manage pull-in and rush delivery requests for critical stocks with confirmed demand penalties.
Department Coordination
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Manager regarding inbound stock shipments and delivery commitment schedules.
  • Assess purchase orders to achieve maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality aligned with demand forecast.
  • Regularly review accuracy of inventory stock levels on each warehouse, factoring in demand forecasting and planning.
ERP System Management
  • Collaborate with suppliers to set up ERP systems based on company requirements.
  • Work with Supply Chain Consultant in developing Demand Planning module of the ERP system.
  • Review internal systems to fit with ERP programs.
