Job Title: Open Source Engineer Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve complex customer problems related to open source software and systems
  • Maintain a close working relationship with cross-functional teams, including engineering, support, and product development
  • Participate in upstream communities and collaborate with developers to drive solutions and improvements
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and work with upstream for inclusion
  • Review code produced by other engineers and provide constructive feedback
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record and background in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with Linux and open source software, including at least one programming language (Python, Go, C, or C++)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
