This role requires a detail-oriented professional to assist healthcare providers in recording patient data and documenting medical information.
As a Medical Documenter, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy of medical records and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Patient Data Management: Accurately capture and record patient medical history, symptoms, previous diagnoses, and other relevant health information.
- Documentation of Physician Findings: Document physician's or healthcare provider's findings, follow-up instructions, and prescribed treatments.
- Verbal Orders and Dictation: Transcribe verbal orders and medical dictation related to patient orders like laboratory tests and medications.
- Electronic Health Records (EHRs): Create and maintain EHR/EMR system records.
- Facilitating Coordination: Facilitate coordination between healthcare providers, patients, and professionals.
- Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure accuracy of medical record documentation and compliance with regulatory and/or institutional standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in medical fields or pharmaceutical-related industry.
- Experience: At least 1-year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Documentation, or related field.
- Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Medical Knowledge: Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices.
- EHR Systems: Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations.
- Organizational Skills: Solid organizational & time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Tech Savviness: Tech savvy & familiar with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP.
- Schedule Flexibility: Able to work on a graveyard shift.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
