Medical Transcription Specialist

This is a remote opportunity to provide high-quality medical transcription services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Record Patient Information: Document patient medical history, symptoms, previous diagnoses, and other pertinent health background.
  2. Document Physician's Findings: Capture physician's or healthcare provider's findings, follow-up instructions, and prescribed treatments.
  3. Transcribe Verbal Orders: Transcribe verbal orders related to patient care like laboratory tests and medications.
  4. Create EHR/EMR Records: Develop accurate electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) system documents.
  5. Foster Coordination: Facilitate coordination between healthcare providers, patients, and professionals.
  6. Maintain Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of medical documentation and compliance with relevant standards.
  7. Perform Ad Hoc Tasks: Complete assigned tasks as directed by the team lead.
Required Skills:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a medical field or pharmaceutical-related industry.
  2. Experience: At least 1-year experience in medical documentation or a related field.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (At least B2 level).
  4. Medical Terminology: Strong understanding of medical terminology and practices.
  5. EHR/EMR Systems: Proficient in EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  6. Healthcare Privacy Regulations: Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations.
  7. Organizational Skills: Solid organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  8. Tech Savviness: Tech-savvy and familiar with current technologies like desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP.
  9. Shift Work: Able to work varied shifts including graveyard shifts.
