Role and Responsibilities

Technical Writer Role Overview

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented writer who can effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.

You will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining knowledge base content to empower customers to self-serve while enabling internal teams to move faster with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and write new and updated knowledge base articles, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, snippets, and internal enablement documents.
  • Partner closely with product managers and engineers to understand new features and translate technical details into clear customer-ready content.
  • Collaborate with support, customer success, and enablement teams to capture recurring issues, identify knowledge gaps, and improve internal workflows.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate drafting, auditing, and surfacing weak or duplicate content.
  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure the knowledge base remains accurate, current, and discoverable.
  • Mentor junior writers, sharing best practices for technical writing, SEO, and AI adoption.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with subject matter experts and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), analytics dashboards, and structured authoring systems.
  • Proficient in Git, HTML, and docs-as-code.
  • Customer obsession: ability to write with empathy, prioritizing clarity and usability for customers and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail: ensuring all content is accurate, complete, and error-free.
