Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Designer/Draftsperson specializing in custom furniture design to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in producing detailed, accurate technical drawings and proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp. A strong background in custom woodwork design is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for custom furniture projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and craftsmen to ensure designs meet specifications.
  • Prepare accurate shop drawings and construction details.
  • Modify and adjust drawings based on feedback and production requirements.
  • Ensure all designs comply with structural and material considerations for custom wood fabrication.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • Proven experience creating detailed technical drawings for furniture or millwork.
  • Knowledge of custom wood construction techniques (highly preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into production-ready drawings.

  • Must have your own laptop or desktop.
  • Stable internet connection and a backup device/connection for emergencies.
