Job Summary

The Chief Governance and Compliance Officer serves as the centralized curator and coordinator of all organizational policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, systematically reviewed, and fully compliant with applicable standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Policies Curation & Compliance
    • Curate all policies and procedures across the organization, maintaining an indexed, up-to-date master library of current policies and archived versions.
    • Track and enforce review cycles (e.g., annual, biennial) and coordinate timely updates and re-approvals.
  • Policy Development & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Draft new policies and procedures based on leadership directives, operational goals, or changes in regulatory requirements.
    • Distribute draft documents to relevant stakeholders for feedback and incorporate suggested changes.
  • Regulatory Reporting Oversight
    • Maintain a comprehensive calendar of all required reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for licensing, funding, and accreditation entities.
    • Coordinate with assigned departments to ensure timely generation and submission of all required documentation.
  • Governance & Compliance Meetings
    • Schedule recurring meetings for compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, and risk management.
    • Create agendas, track attendance, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Policy Inquiry Response & Gap Resolution
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal questions or requests for clarification regarding existing policies and procedures.
    • Review current policy and procedure documents to provide accurate responses and guidance to staff at all levels of the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or policy management within a healthcare or behavioral health organization.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, Arizona DHS, and applicable labor and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong technical writing, policy drafting, and document control skills.

This is a 100% remote work opportunity requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
