Job Title: Accounts Payable OfficerOverview of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Officer to provide support to our finance team. As an experienced professional in accounts payable, you will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process, code, and enter supplier invoices into Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems.
  • Match purchase orders with delivery dockets and supplier invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and supplier statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs to meet financial deadlines.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve payment queries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including documentation and contact information.
  • Support month-end closing tasks and reporting to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to resolve invoice or delivery issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Bookkeeping is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other ERP tools such as SAP, Pronto, NetSuite is essential.
  • Experience within supply chain, wholesale, or industrial products sector is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions is crucial.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills are required to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team is required.
