Data Insights Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Insights Specialist to support our People Success team at Blue Cube Services. The successful candidate will focus on data preparation, recurring reporting, dashboard upkeep, and quality checks to help transform people data into clear, reliable insights for HR and business partners.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and refresh recurring people metrics (e.g. headcount, attrition/retention, tenure, internal moves, compensation) on monthly/quarterly cadences.
  • Validate and clean datasets from HR systems, run data quality checks, flag anomalies, and document fixes.
  • Update and QA existing dashboards, ensure filters and definitions work as intended, and make layout/content tweaks as directed.
  • Pull extracts and run basic analyses (pivots, lookups, simple SQL queries) to support data analysis and investigations.
  • Maintain data processing notes so logic is traceable and repeatable.
  • Handle sensitive employee data responsibly, follow access controls, and support compliance with data-privacy requirements.
  • Requirements:
  • 1–2 years of experience in data/people analytics, HR reporting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivots, lookups, nested formulas).
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).
  • Experience with HR data, especially from HRIS/ATS/payroll platforms would be beneficial.
  • An analytical and data driven mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and follow-through; comfortable managing tasks independently and escalating blockers early.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
