We're seeking a skilled software developer to join our rapidly expanding Engineering team.

This full-time role will involve maintaining and enhancing our cutting-edge SaaS platform, ensuring seamless performance, scalability, and reliability.

You'll collaborate closely with product and design teams to identify business needs, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of PHP 8+, Laravel, MySQL, jQuery, and modern JavaScript frameworks, along with strong problem-solving skills and experience working on both frontend and backend components.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and optimizing microservices-based SaaS applications
  • Troubleshooting and resolving bugs across the full stack
  • Debugging issues to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Collaborating with Product and Design teams to clarify requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for bug fixes, enhancements, and technical improvements
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance where needed

Requirements include:

  • Strong experience in full-stack web development, particularly maintaining and optimizing data-driven products
  • Deep knowledge of PHP 8+, Laravel, MySQL, jQuery, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with microservices and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Ability to troubleshoot efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills, with a commitment to platform stability
  • Previous experience writing unit and integration tests within a Laravel framework
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work clearly to different stakeholders
  • A passion for code quality and staying up-to-date with technology trends
  • Comfortable demoing updates and bug fixes to cross-functional teams

Please note that this is a remote position requiring timezone flexibility, a reliable internet connection, and a suitable workspace. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and comfortable collaborating with a primarily UK-based engineering team.
