Solar Design Professional

As a key contributor to our Proposal Design team, the Solar Design Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring solar designs account for customer preferences, company policies, as well as local, state, and national codes. This position requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail to create custom proposals that showcase the expected panel layout and solar production of the system.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support Sales and Install Operations teams by creating detailed solar designs that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize aerial imagery and web-based software to create 3D models of homes and their surroundings, generating custom proposals that highlight the benefits of solar systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solar designs into sales processes.

Essential Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience with designing and/or constructing solar electric systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of residential electrical and roofing standards, as well as National Electrical Code and local building codes, is desired.
  • NABCEP (associate) certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM software and AutoCad is also beneficial.
