Main Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices, reconciling bank and credit card statements, recording journal entries, and assisting with monthly financial reporting.
  • Managing transaction entry, reconciling payroll to quarterly taxes, reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts, and analyzing monthly reports such as the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
  • Working with several clients each month, setting up QuickBooks online or on a desktop from scratch, and determining what is broken or set up incorrectly in existing accounting systems.
  • Able to read a balance sheet and understand what is not right (if anything is not right), and how to begin fixing it, so we can clean up the books.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting tools.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
