Job Title: Strategic Risk Manager

Job Summary:

This senior-level position involves leading and conducting comprehensive risk assessments, as well as analyzing and mitigating risks in existing transactions. Key responsibilities include reviewing client materials, identifying key risks, and recommending mitigation measures.

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will lead and conduct risk assessments for ADB's new non-sovereign transactions. This includes reviewing client materials such as financial statements or technical reports, identifying key risks, and assessing them through sensitivity analysis. The role also entails preparing risk ratings and valuations, as well as providing support for thematic or inter-departmental risk analytics projects.

  • Risk appraisal of new transactions
  • Review, assess, and provide recommendations for key transaction risks, covering sponsor, commercial, and structure risks in proposed financing transactions
  • Advise and recommend to deal origination teams on appropriate risk mitigation measures, deal structuring, and financial covenants throughout the risk appraisal process

Transaction Monitoring :

The successful candidate will review monitoring documents for non-sovereign loan, guarantee, and equity transactions, including those in remedial or recovery states. They will also support the preparation of relevant risk appraisals or valuations, evaluate and recommend approval for waivers, amendments, and consents related to proposed changes to loan covenants and terms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or relevant fields

  • Strong report-writing and communication skills in English
