Accounting Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, drive financial integrity and support business growth. As a key member of the team, you will oversee all general accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting and strengthen compliance processes.

This is a critical role in upholding financial integrity while driving improvements that support growth and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, tax laws and regulatory requirements, as well as experience in financial systems and Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all general accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations and financial schedules
  • Ensure compliance with tax, audit and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Review and monitor financial reports, balances and monthly closings
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audits and financial reviews
  • Supervise and coach the accounting team promoting accuracy, efficiency and accountability
  • Coordinate branch and head office reconciliations recommending process improvements
  • Provide financial insights to support budgeting decision-making and credit operations

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience including at least 3 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles tax laws and reporting standards
  • Proficient in financial systems reporting tools and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in a financial services or lending institution is a strong advantage
  • Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills
