Job Overview

The ideal candidate will lead and implement technical decisions for a software engineering team, overseeing the development of high-quality software products and enhancing our existing software platforms.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of software engineers to deliver complex software projects.
  • Coordinating with scrum masters, project managers, and other software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web-based and desktop applications.
  • Providing technical leadership in all aspects of software development processes.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of new software systems and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Ensuring all software engineering projects are delivered on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Continually updating technical knowledge and skills and sharing them with the team.
  • Maintaining high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Providing regular performance feedback, coaching, and career development to team members.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Java, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, etc.), full-stack development, modern architectures (microservices, event-driven), CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, functional programming, scripting, user experience best practices, unit testing, TDD/BDD, Agile/Scrum, and database management (SQL & NoSQL).
  • A proven track record of managing software products, leading teams, and delivering innovative solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and client management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), version control (Git), testing frameworks, software security, and adapting to fast-changing environments.
