Job Description

We are seeking a Video Content Specialist to join our team. This role involves onboarding and supporting a talented group of video creators, scriptwriters, and video editors to create high-quality educational content that supports our mission of making education accessible to all.

The ideal candidate will be a strong multi-tasker with exceptional English language abilities who can balance quality and efficiency as we work to produce world-class educational content.

The contractor will be expected to work flexible hours and use their own computer and have reliable access to high-speed internet.

  • Create engaging and impactful videos for educational purposes.
  • Support the development of video content for marketing channels with an emphasis on optimizing for YouTube engagement and discoverability.
  • Experiment with various video formats adapted to each target channel.
  • Leverage AI and tech tools to streamline production and improve video quality.
  • Provide feedback and direction to enhance content strategy.
  • Monitor trends and platform updates to drive innovation and viewer engagement.
  • Communicate production rates, obstacles, and resource requests to team lead proactively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 2–3 years of experience in video creation (preferably academic or informational) with a strong understanding of YouTube ecosystem.
  • Skilled in sourcing and guiding video content creators to produce engaging, platform-optimized content.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere and familiar with other editing and graphics tools.
  • Experienced in scripting, storyboarding, producing videos, and collaborating with editors.
  • Data-savvy and comfortable running content experiments to improve engagement and retention.
