Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planning and Allocation Lead to join our team.

This critical role aligns inventory with demand by managing procurement from various sources, partnering with sales to forecast needs, and overseeing allocations across both wholesale and retail channels to drive sales performance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the Merchandise Planning and Allocation Team in achieving business objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective stock allocation strategies to meet customer demands.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal warehouse stocks.
  • Identify and capitalize on in-store sales opportunities to maximize performance.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding product availability, delivery, or planning updates.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams on upcoming in-store demand driven by seasonal events.
  • Complete monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB) reviews and reforecasting activities.
  • Manage purchase order creation and ensure accuracy of procurement data.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandise planning and allocation, preferably in a multi-channel retail environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive allocation accuracy and improve sales outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid knowledge of intermediate formulas.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
