Job Description

We're looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Liability Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Central Liability Unit, ensuring that its goals are met and that all activities are in compliance with established credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage directly the functions/activities of the Central Liability Unit, supervising Officers & Staff who are tasked with earmarking and allocation of omnibus lines and multi-user limits prior to loan booking.
  • Attain department objectives by exercising managerial functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling unit activities.
Role Exposure:
  • Reviews and validates information gathered by the Central Liability Assistant in the Earmarking Request Form, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved credit line facilities.
  • Collaborates with OPG-LOD/TFOD and/or Lending Units on issues related to limits management, requiring immediate resolution.
  • Sends earmarking results to OPG-LOD/TFOD and concerned Lending Units, ensuring timely service delivery and processing of earmarking requests.
  • Maintains monitoring of excess availments against approved credit lines, addressing unauthorized breaches daily.
  • Investigates each account reflected in the Summary of Excess Availments (LASER) and determines reason for excess availment, in coordination with Lending Unit and OPG-LOD/TFOD.
  • Prepares Breach Report for excess availments.
  • Performs other related functions assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business-related courses, preferably Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Proven experience in people management.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.
