Merchandise Assistant Role

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring seamless merchandise operations across both retail and online channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage merchandise administration, including purchase orders, stock units, barcoding, pricing, and allocations.
  • Build and nurture strong supplier relationships while coordinating replenishments and inter-store transfers.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through regular stocktakes, variance reporting, and adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, work-in-progress listings, and forecasting spreadsheets.
  • Support merchandise planning and, where applicable, manage listings on third-party marketplaces.
  • Collaborate with teams to respond to store requests and communicate stock movement updates.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable retail business, encompassing both stores and ecommerce.
  • Hands-on experience working with Shopify, preferably with knowledge of its advanced features.
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and data management.
  • Knowledge of retail point-of-sale systems, extending beyond Shopify.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, with a focus on delivering results-driven outcomes.
  • A high degree of organizational and multitasking abilities, coupled with attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
