About the Role

The Director of Financial Strategy will take full ownership of the finance function, streamlining monthly close and cash forecasting processes. They will deliver actionable performance insights that guide smarter, faster decisions, and transform finance into a proactive engine for scale. This includes ensuring clean, audit-ready reporting, optimized cash management, and trusted financial visibility across the company.

  • Prioritize Accurate Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial statements by implementing a standardized monthly close process.">
  • Maintain Cash Flow Strategy: Manage a weekly-updated 12-month rolling cash forecast to ensure liquidity and financial stability.">
  • Lead Forecasting and Budgeting: Plan and execute Hadley Designs' annual budgeting and forecasting cycle, aligning department budgets with growth targets.">
  • Build Scalable Financial Systems: Document core finance workflows, implement streamlined systems for expense approvals, reimbursements, travel booking, and company card usage.">
  • Drive Profit Optimization: Deliver monthly EBITDA analysis to uncover cost-saving and margin improvement opportunities, partnering with leaders to implement impactful initiatives.">

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualities: Exceptional attention to detail, GAAP compliance, analytical expertise, process optimization skills, strategic focus, technology proficiency, leadership abilities, communication excellence, adaptability, and energy positivity.

Desirable Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA/CPA strongly preferred, 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, at least 3 years in a leadership role, and proven success building scalable finance systems and strategic reporting processes.
