This is a Medical Reviewer position with a remote work opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN degree and an active PHRN license. Good communication skills are essential to assist veterans, medical providers, and colleagues effectively.

This role requires minimal supervision and flexibility in work schedule changes. The candidate must take accountability for all assigned cases and be proficient in MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The successful candidate will also assist the Lead and/or Trainer in process improvements and creation of templates as needed.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal.
  • Review and bookmark medical records and create a synopsis to answer medical opinion questions, if needed.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments by accessing apps, navigating, and preparing different software in the exam room.
  • Transcribe medical history based on veteran answers in the DBQ.
  • Document physical examination findings and complete DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment.
  • Meet with medical providers to determine final diagnosis per DBQ and approve medical opinions.
  • Transfer data from DBQ spreadsheet to client portal and submit DBQs.
  • Answer queries/addendum reports from clients' QAs.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and team members regarding scheduled appointments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Active Professional Healthcare Registry Network (PHRN) license
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in work schedule changes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Assist in process improvements and template creation
