Job Summary
Our organization seeks a seasoned accountant to manage its general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to ensure they are accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting standards.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, identify trends, and prepare reports summarizing the company's financial position.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Coordinate budgeting processes and forecasts, and assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Manage tax compliance, including preparing and filing tax returns for review by an external tax advisor.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting best practices, policies, and statutory requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of seven years post-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification experience is required.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. A university degree with an average score of 80% or higher is also necessary.
- Experience in fund administration is mandatory, preferably within financial services or fund management companies.
Prior Experience:
- While not essential, a legal background or experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with servicing calculators and other lending-related software can be advantageous when assessing loan options.
