Job Overview

The Legal Intake Specialist plays a critical role in medical records retrieval, ensuring each intake request is accurate and optimized for success.

This specialist identifies providers associated with client treatment, locates billing providers using tools like Chartswap, and corrects incoming ROIs. They prepare accurate base forms and generate complete submission packets.

A thorough QA review of each ROI packet ensures cover letters, affidavits, and provider-specific requirements are correct.

The Legal Intake Specialist assigns requests to the appropriate team member based on workload and utilization.

They coordinate with law firms' case managers to resolve missing or conflicting information.

Necessary Skills:

  • Prior experience requesting medical records from providers.
  • Strong attention to detail, as small errors can cause delays.

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Chartswap or other medical records exchange platforms.
  • Experience in U.S.-based legal or healthcare settings.
  • Spanish-speaking proficiency (a plus).
