Job Overview

The Merchandise Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient merchandise operations across both retail and online channels.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchasing orders, stock units, barcoding, pricing, and allocations to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to coordinate replenishments and inter-store transfers.
  • Ensure stock accuracy through regular stocktakes and adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, work-in-progress listings, and forecasting spreadsheets.
  • Support merchandise planning and manage listings on third-party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay).
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable retail business.
  • Hands-on experience working with e-commerce platforms beyond Shopify.
  • Strong data analysis skills for reporting, analysis, and data management using Excel.
  • Knowledge of retail point-of-sale systems and ability to work independently.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
