Financial Officer Role

This position involves performing financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities. The role requires the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports to support decision-making.

  • Assist in financial analysis by interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports to support decision-making.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Maintain and update books of accounts (Journal, Ledger).
  • Collect daily, weekly, and monthly employee timesheets.
  • Calculate employee work hours.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Compile and track performance at the team and individual levels.
  • Enter new employee data into the company's database.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to collect data for performance management and improvement programs.
  • Implement regulatory compliance and reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication within the company.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, welfare, and wellness education programs.
  • Monitor formats and quality standards.
  • Address employee questions about compensation, benefits, and deductions.
  • Distribute payment statements.
  • Meet with top-level executives.
  • Communicate with various service providers.
  • Solicit services that can enhance and automate financial processes.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts; ensure accuracy of all financial transactions; provide regular financial updates and insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting-related roles.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Payroll Accountant.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
  • Experience processing employee salaries.
  • Familiarity with Labor Laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Requirements: Strong analytical skills; ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively; excellent time management skills; knowledge of bookkeeping practices; ability to work with minimal supervision.
