Cloud Architect Role Overview

Our organization seeks a talented Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for architecting and operating OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage, while also enabling devsecops for applications running on that infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring Python software-engineering skills and rigor to the operations domain, practicing devsecops from bare metal to application. They will operate cloud environments with hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters for customers across physical and public cloud estates, using automation and a universal operator pattern and model-driven operations.

As a Cloud Architect, you will approach operations as a science, relying on metrics and code, learning the entire stack from bare metal networking and kernel up to serverless and open-source applications. You will work in a high-pressure operations environment with mission-critical services for global brand-name customers.

We seek candidates with a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science and experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage. Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability are essential. The ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long is also required.
