As a seasoned engineering leader, you will be responsible for guiding a high-performing team of engineers in the development and delivery of innovative features. Your expertise in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban, will drive efficiency and productivity within the team.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual with a proven track record in engineering management or team leadership to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.

Your key responsibilities will include managing a team of 4 engineers, overseeing the development and delivery of features within the assigned product area, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and the Agile Delivery Manager, and implementing and maintaining Scrum methodology with 2-week sprints.

In addition, you will conduct regular one-on-ones and team meetings, participate in bi-weekly Stakeholder Demos, manage technical debt and refactoring efforts, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in engineering management or team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and develop engineering talent.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and containerisation (Kubernetes).
Additional Requirements
  • Timezone flexibility: Must be comfortable working with some overlap with UK business hours (GMT/BST) to collaborate effectively with the majority of the team.
  • Language: Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) to collaborate with our global team.
