Senior Accounting Specialist

As a skilled accounting professional, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing support for budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
    • Support internal and external audits through accurate record keeping and reporting
  • Cash Management
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow on a regular basis
    • Ensure timely and accurate supplier payments
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable
    • Issue customer invoices and manage accounts receivable and credit control
    • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances monthly
  • Payroll and Expenses
    • Support end-to-end payroll processing, including reconciliations and adjustments
    • Manage employee expense claims and ensure compliance with policies
    • Analyse expense trends and suggest cost-saving opportunities
  • Process Improvement and Compliance
    • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
    • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and reporting initiatives
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in finance roles within companies adhering to GAAP
  • Track record of process improvement and automation in finance functions
  • Strong knowledge of management accounts preparation and general ledger maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and computer literacy
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CPA)
