Accounting and Financial Operations Specialist

The role of the Accounting and Financial Operations Specialist involves managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts communications and documentation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience with Australian accounting practices, particularly in payroll and operational roles, and possess solid analytical skills to support their account manager and clients.
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of financial systems, processes, and controls, and providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders. The specialist will work closely with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
The Accounting and Financial Operations Specialist will also be responsible for communicating effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, and for providing excellent customer service. This includes responding to queries, resolving issues, and escalating complex problems to senior management as necessary.
The specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines. They will be expected to stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, laws, and industry best practices, and to apply this knowledge to improve processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts communications and documentation

- Preparing and submitting payroll and other financial reports
- Reconciling ledger transactions and bank statements
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies and errors
- Providing financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions
