As a leader in customer and trade marketing, you will shape strategies to drive business growth through data-driven programs.

This role acts as a critical link between consumer insights, commercial strategy, and innovation. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain to deliver value at the point of sale and influence the future innovation pipeline.

The position requires developing customer marketing strategies aligned with brand and commercial goals. It also involves leveraging shopper, customer, and channel insights to inform trade marketing and innovation plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer marketing strategies aligned with brand and commercial goals.
  • Leverage shopper, customer, and channel insights to inform trade marketing and innovation plans.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the NPD process—shaping concepts, pricing, channel fit, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Design and implement 360° activation plans for new product launches; monitor performance for optimization.
  • Oversee national promotional campaigns, in-store merchandising, and visibility initiatives.
  • Customize strategies for General Trade, Modern Trade, and alternative channels such as wet markets.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team, driving high performance, capability building, and succession planning.
  • Set clear KPIs and manage ongoing performance and development.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain) to ensure commercial readiness.
  • Manage external agency partnerships to drive effective execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in customer/trade marketing, commercial marketing, or innovation within the FMCG or retail sector.
  • Proven track record in leading end-to-end strategy and execution across categories and trade channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team development and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in CRM, analytics platforms, data tools, and presentation software.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in both General Trade and Modern Trade environments.
  • Involvement in innovation pipeline development and successful product launches.
  • In-depth understanding of shopper behavior, merchandising, and retail dynamics.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and third-party execution partners.
