Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for preparing reconciliations for debtors, creditors, intercompany accounts, and bank statements.

You will produce month-end, year-end, and board financial reporting packs, process invoicing, bank transactions, and GST returns.

Your role will involve supporting internal audits, tax reporting, and compliance with Australian standards.

Additionally, you will assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting.

Enhancing financial systems, templates, and workflows will also be a part of your responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting is required.
  • A strong understanding of accrual accounting and Australian financial standards is necessary.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Xero proficiency is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience in the NDIS or Australian not-for-profit sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with grant funding or government contract reporting is an advantage.
  • Experience with automated finance workflows is highly desirable.
