Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled accounting professional to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements for sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
  • Use client accounting programs to extract reports and data, and provide training to clients on their use.
  • Remain current with tax law changes and interpret and understand tax law, explaining the implications to clients.
  • Maintain and complete client history, trust details, and basic to intermediate Financial Statements and Tax Returns across all entity types.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or similar relevant qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to new software, preferably with experience using Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks, and APS.
