Senior Software Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Software Developer to lead the development and modernization of Microsoft-based applications and solutions. This role involves both high-level design and coding responsibilities, as well as mentoring and managing a small team of software developers.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software development, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities. Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework is required. Deep understanding of .NET Framework 4.5/4.8, .NET 6, and .NET 8 is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a small team of software developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate task assignments, ensure development standards are met, and promote a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Implement scalable, cloud-native applications in Azure, focusing on microservices and modern service design.
  • Oversee and contribute to the re-architecture of existing monolithic C# MVC applications into modular, distributed services.
  • Design and implement reusable SPFx web parts for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams using React and TypeScript.
  • Work across and maintain systems built in .NET Framework (4.5 / 4.8) and modern applications in .NET Core / 6 / 8.
  • Ensure clean, maintainable code with best practices in SOLID principles, design patterns, and automated testing.
  • Drive implementation of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
  • Design secure and performant API layers and integrations with third-party services and Microsoft Graph.
  • Champion cloud best practices, security, observability, and performance monitoring.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework.
  • Deep understanding of .NET Framework 4.5/4.8, .NET 6, and .NET 8.
  • Proven experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices and designing cloud-native architectures.
  • Solid experience building SPFx solutions using TypeScript and React.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Azure services, particularly App Services, Functions, Service Bus, SQL, and Azure AD.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, especially Azure DevOps.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
