Job Title: Integrated Waste Management Facilities Department Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to oversee the daily operations of our Integrated Waste Management Facility. Reporting directly to the President/Chief Operating Officer, this individual will be responsible for driving operational excellence, budgetary efficiency, and regulatory compliance across various projects and sub-departments.

This is a key leadership role that requires exceptional leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive operational excellence by overseeing the efficient operations of all IWMF sites and sub-departments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize resource allocation, meet project timelines, reduce operational costs, and achieve company-aligned results.
Budget Management and Control:
  • Evaluate and validate budget requests from all reporting units to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Sustain cost control measures while maintaining productivity and long-term sustainability.
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration:
  • Organize and lead regular performance review meetings and emergency coordination sessions with IWMF teams.
  • Foster interdepartmental collaboration to drive accountability, resolve operational concerns, and ensure timely delivery of results.
Compliance and Documentation:
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of operational documents.
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant standards and maintain audit readiness at all times.
Performance Management:
  • Monitor real-time performance of all departments and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports to senior management while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in waste management, logistics, utilities, or a related industry.
  • Strong background in operations, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-site operations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
