Job Title: Digital Building Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Building Integration Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring clients and partners receive top-notch fault detection and diagnostics products.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and support clients and partners with the highest quality fault detection and diagnostics product.
  • Collaborate on onboarding projects, communicate timelines and milestones to ensure analytics meets its role in a timely manner at a high level of quality.
  • Conduct onboarding activities such as installing Data Collection Services, discovering data, and organizing for Digital Building Engineers.
  • Troubleshoot Diagnostics to perform automated fault detection on customer's HVAC equipment.
  • Review requests to validate the results reported by the software.
  • Train and engage customer and partner users specific to the Data Transfer Service, data connectivity, and related networking issues.
  • Provide ongoing support of connected sites.
Requirements:
  • Confident, self-motivated, and comfortable quickly grasping new technologies.
  • Able to communicate effectively with customers and partners.
  • Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree, or 5–6 years related industry experience.
  • 1–2 years hands-on experience in HVAC, controls, or fault detection and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to BAS protocols such as BACnet, Haystack, oBIX, and Modbus.
  • Exposure to BAS networking principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ideal candidate has exposure to automated ongoing commissioning, fault detection and diagnostics, performance measurement and verification.
  • Ideal candidate has exposure to metadata applications such as use of tags and standards, e.g., Project Haystack.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor's in mechanical engineering (or a related technical degree) with an interest in building systems, or significant field experience in a controls or services company serving the buildings industry.
  • Certificate or equivalent experience in basic networking or computer fundamentals (must be familiar with firewall, server, basic networking commands).
  • Learns technical and engineering solutions quickly and thoroughly, striving to improve upon them.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to customers over the phone and through emails.
  • Manages multiple projects in multiple countries simultaneously.
  • Thorough and analytical with good attention to detail.
  • Can creatively streamline processes and find efficiencies for executing complex technical tasks.
  • Effectively conveys product development ideas to company leadership and product development teams.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where work processes are established and constantly refined.
  • Motivated about changing the built environment with new tools, technologies, and business models.
  • Prefers a close-knit, passionate environment where communication is key, and the learning experience is invaluable.
