Procurement Analyst Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of a highly-regulated industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Director, supporting them in designing and implementing a global end-to-end inventory intelligence platform.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a single-source-of-truth across key supply chain nodes, reconciling variances daily.
  • Proactively chasing stakeholders for ETAs, logistics documentation, and exceptions, escalating delays before they impact operational activity.
  • Transforming raw data into concise, decision-ready insights for the Operations Director and wider Operations Department.
  • Building and refreshing dynamic procurement models to support strategic decision making.
  • Staying ahead of tools and best practices, self-driving upskilling in analytics and supply-chain methods.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with a preference for BSc Economics or equivalent analytical experience.
  • 2-4 years' professional experience in procurement, supply-chain, or inventory roles supporting high-performance teams.

The must-have skills include:

  • Advanced Excel modeling and data visualization.
  • Professional business British English.
  • Persistent phone and email follow-up.
  • Process documentation.
  • Analytical mindset.

Nice-to-have skills include:

  • Basic SQL/Python for data automation.
  • Regulated supply-chain exposure.
  • Worked on a project team.

The team values are centered around discipline, not motivation, and consistency wins over time. The anticipated rhythm includes daily stand-ups, admin tasks, dashboard reviews, and stakeholder chasing, with weekly report generation and system-feature tickets.
