Quality Assurance and Control Professional

This role involves designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in construction work, quality control, assurance, laboratory testing, and a firm understanding of requirements and specifications.

The Quality Assurance and Control Professional will be responsible for preparing QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment projects. This includes ensuring the establishment of quality procedures, including time limits for inspection, sampling, and testing of works, as well as overseeing and managing the quality assessment of materials through regular laboratory tests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment projects
  • Ensuring the establishment of quality procedures and protocols
  • Overseeing and managing the quality assessment of materials
  • Reviewing technical specifications and recommending standard construction specifications
  • Reviewing test forms, schedules, and procedures, and evaluating results
  • Reviewing contractor practices and making recommendations for improvement
  • Working with project engineers and design consultants to establish procedures and protocols
  • Conducting initial surveys of sources to ensure quality and quantity of materials
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Licensed engineer required
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction work
  • Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver's license
