Job Opportunity

A detail-oriented and technically skilled professional is needed to transform high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface crystal engraving.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of image processing, 3D modeling, and precision formatting for laser engraving systems.

Key responsibilities include converting 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features (bas-relief effect), enhancing image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output, ensuring compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ), scaling and aligning models to match crystal dimensions (e.g., 5cm cube), and performing quality checks and delivering engraving-ready files for production.

Required skills and qualifications include proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent), experience with point cloud generation and manipulation, familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes, strong attention to detail and ability to meet formatting specifications, and ability to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently.

Preferred skills include knowledge of bas-relief modeling techniques, experience in image enhancement and depth mapping, understanding of OBJ file structure and compatibility standards, and experience with Point Cloud Library in converting images.
