  • Develop effective stormwater management strategies for Transport (roads and rail), Land/Water infrastructure projects in New Zealand.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to assess stormwater flows and system performance.
  • Create low impact stormwater designs.
  • Collaborate across disciplines internally to address technical queries and drive optimal engineering solutions.
  • Evaluate all designs against relevant legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, design specifications, and documentation for project submissions and regulatory approvals.
  • Undertake site investigations, data analysis, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • With 5+ years of experience in a similar position (Stormwater/drainage design and flood modeling).
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D or 12d software.
  • TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM are desirable skills.
  • Proven experience with Geographic Information Systems such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfo.
  • Fundamental understanding of hydrology.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with the team in a knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with different teams.
