Job Overview

Our client, a fast-growing omnichannel brand endorsed by Gordon Ramsay, requires an experienced eCommerce Website Development Specialist. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's e-commerce platform to deliver a seamless online shopping experience.

Job Title: eCommerce Website Development Specialist

Job Type: Full-time / Remote

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the company's e-commerce website, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
  • Work on front-end and back-end development tasks, including coding, debugging, and implementing new features.
  • Manage and update website content using a content management system (CMS), ensuring all information is current and accurate.
  • Integrate e-commerce functionalities such as shopping carts, payment gateways, and third-party plugins to enhance the online shopping experience.
  • Monitor and optimize website performance, including speed, responsiveness, and overall site efficiency.
  • Implement SEO best practices and track website performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure website alignment with branding and marketing strategies.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years experience in eCommerce website development, preferably in a retail or direct-to-consumer environment.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and CMS (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Love of food and cooking; culinary industry experience is a plus.
