Instructional Designer Position

Athena is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging and effective educational programs and materials for a diverse audience.

About the Role
  • The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing and developing instructional content that enhances learning and improves performance.
  • They will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop instructional materials and curricula, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.
  • Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methodologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Create clear, concise, and compelling content aligned with learning objectives and organizational goals.
Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of instructional design models such as ADDIE and SAM.
  • Applying adult learning principles, focusing on self-direction and practical relevance.
  • Proficiency in e-learning development tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, ATD's Master Instructional Designer) are a plus.

Work Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design or a related role.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing e-learning and instructor-led training materials.
