Job Title: Test Engineer

The role of a Test Engineer is crucial in the development cycle, ensuring that software products meet the required quality standards. This position involves planning, designing, and developing manual and automation test tools, methodologies, scripts, and executing end-to-end automation and manual test cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for automated and manual testing.
  • Creating scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
  • Contributing to implementing repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to drive product quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring all assigned testing deliverables are met within the sprint and product release timelines.
  • Communicating test reports to stakeholders and contributing to the improvement of processes and assets.
  • Maintaining awareness of external environments and trends in testing to contribute to process improvements.
  • Promoting productivity through test automation tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Cultivating skills in manual and automated testing, including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of software testing experience.
  • At least 3 years of automation testing experience.
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing, including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating, and test coverage.
  • Knowledge of Selenium, Java, Maven, and Postman.
  • Experience working with REST and SOAP webservices and API testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, and windows applications.
  • Ability to work across multiple products/platforms/squads.
  • Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automated testing tool Playwright.
  • Prior experience in outsourced employee benefits and administration service domain.
